In the Super League the DIck Turpin A took a commanding 3-0 lead against Huntington WMC B. The match finished 8-4 , Tom Wilson and Bob Kelly won three matches each with skipper Matty Johnston winning two. Heworth A v Clockhouse A was a close encounter at 5-6 in the final frame Steve Thomas broke and Paul Thomas cleared up with a brilliant reverse dish to give the clock a 5-7 win. It was a close affair between Clock Zs and Huntington WMC A. Danny Bharvra won his three and was man of the match on the night Kristian Strangeway also played very well in a what was a very good 7-5 win for the club.

In Division 2 newcomers Edinburgh Arms  A continued their fine start with a dominant win over fellow promotion hopefuls Heworth  A winning 8-4 . Crescent A moved to joint second with a 8-4 Win over Lawrence B Martin Tunicliffe  winning three frames backed up by Lucas Bingham three wins and Jef Morris two wins

In Division 3 New Earswick had a 9-3 victory over the Red Lion Poppleton. The Beagle B and The Hammers too shared the points in a 6-6 draw. 

The International Festival of Blackball Pool in Coleraine, Northern Ireland took place from 15th to 20th October, with England , Scotland , Wales , Ireland and Northern Ireland competing  in the tournament

Bishopthorpe’s Alice Paylor is part of the England B team that won the ladies team event with England B having an unbeaten record  throughout the  tournament. Alice also won the ladies singles event. And is now the EBA European Singles Champion. A thrilling final saw Tilly Edward’s race in to a 0-3 lead only for Alice to claw the frames back for a 6-4 victory to be crowned the champion.
